The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria has released fresh information regarding the printing of original Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result slips for candidates.

According to the update, candidates who participated in the examination can now access and print their original result slips through the official JAMB portal, using their registration details.

JAMB explained that the result slip contains important information such as candidates’ scores, passport photograph, and other details required for admission processing into tertiary institutions.

The board advised candidates to ensure they print only from official channels to avoid misinformation or fraudulent websites that may circulate fake result documents.

It also reminded candidates that the result slip is different from the initial notification of result, which is usually released earlier after the examination.

Candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education are expected to present the original result slip during screening and admission processes.

JAMB said the update is part of its ongoing effort to streamline admission procedures and improve access to examination records for candidates across the country.

Further guidance on deadlines or additional requirements was not immediately specified, but candidates were encouraged to regularly check official JAMB communication channels for updates.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
