The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria has urged the Federal Government and governors in the North-West and North-Central to commit to ending banditry within 45 days.

The association proposed dialogue and stakeholder engagement, alongside decisive action against armed groups that reject peace.

In a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Khalil Bello, KACRAN outlined a timetable involving two weeks of consultations followed by one month of implementing its proposed peace framework.

The group expressed concern over killings, displacement, cattle rustling, destruction of property and restrictions preventing farmers from accessing their land.

It warned that insecurity in the two regions threatens national food security because of their important role in farming and livestock production.

KACRAN called on government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders and political stakeholders to coordinate efforts, arguing that the regions have the human resources and experienced leadership needed to address the crisis.

The association urged leaders to begin immediately rather than delay action until after the 2027 general elections.

It said restoring peace would allow displaced families to return home, resume farming and livestock production, and rebuild their livelihoods.
