Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have rescued a 70-year-old shepherd and two children during a security operation in Kano.

Security sources said the victims were abducted by armed men suspected to be bandits before they were tracked and rescued by operatives following intelligence-led operations.

The NSCDC confirmed that the rescue mission was carried out without casualties, adding that the victims have since been reunited with their families.
