KANO POLICE DECORATE 13 NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICERS
The Kano State Police Command has officially decorated 13 senior officers recently promoted to higher ranks in a ceremony held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Kano.
This was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Police Public Relations Officer.
The promoted officers include one Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), four Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), seven Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), and one Superintendent of Police (SP).
According to the statement, DCP Muhammad Nuhu Digi advanced from Assistant Commissioner of Police to Deputy Commissioner of Police, while ACPs Musa Akawu, Ahmed Abdullahi, Abdullahi Usman, and Saleh Buba were elevated from Chief Superintendent of Police. Seven additional officers were promoted to CSP, and one officer to SP.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, congratulated the officers, emphasizing that their promotions were in recognition of their commitment, diligence, and professional conduct.
“This promotion is a call to higher responsibility. You are expected to uphold integrity and discipline while continuing to serve the public with dedication,” CP Bakori said.
He also commended the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for ongoing reforms and improved welfare packages for officers.
