A tragic incident has rocked Tashar Aibo in Jibia Local Government Area, Katsina State, after a young man was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife just three days after their wedding.

Residents identified the victim as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, a popular maize seller known for his humble and hardworking nature. The couple had married on Thursday, November 18, 2025. According to neighbours, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon while the man was resting at home, and he was allegedly stabbed in the neck with a knife while asleep.

Community members described the situation as shocking and tragic. Many gathered at the victim’s shop, struggling to come to terms with the incident, while offering prayers for his soul.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement, as investigations into the incident are ongoing.
