A senior aide to Katsina State Governor has been identified as the mastermind behind the kidnapping of an 8-year-old boy in the state.

Security sources revealed that the aide allegedly planned and funded the abduction, which occurred several weeks ago. The boy was later rescued by security operatives following a joint operation.

During interrogation, some of the arrested suspects reportedly named the governor’s aide as the person who orchestrated the kidnap and demanded ransom from the victim’s family.

The revelation has caused serious concern and outrage among residents of Katsina State, many of whom have expressed shock that a government official could be involved in such a crime.

As of now, the Katsina State Government is yet to issue an official statement on the matter. However, security agencies say full investigations are ongoing, and more arrests may be made.

The incident has once again highlighted the growing insecurity in parts of the North, with parents calling for stronger protection for children and decisive action against those involved in kidnapping.

The police have assured the public that no one will be spared, regardless of their position or connection, as they continue to pursue justice in the case.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
