KCEE REVEALS WHY HE NEVER GETS DISCOURAGED WHILE CHASING HIT SONGS
Nigerian music star Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has opened up about the mindset that keeps him consistent in the entertainment industry, even during seasons without hit songs.
Speaking on the Selah Meditate podcast, the “Limpopo” hitmaker said he doesn’t allow disappointment to slow him down. Instead, he doubles his effort by releasing more music, believing that persistence eventually pays off.
According to Kcee, many artistes retreat when a song underperforms, but he has learned to embrace the process.
“Some of my colleagues can drop a song and if it goes bad, they go back into their shell. But that can’t be me,” he said. “I can drop 22 songs — maybe it’s the 25th one that will become a hit. I don’t care because consistency is key.”
The veteran singer added that despite facing challenges behind the scenes, fans rarely notice because he always chooses to show up confidently and stylishly.
Kcee also credited positive thinking and manifestation for shaping his life. He recalled living in Ajegunle with his brother, E-Money, but boldly claiming they lived in Ikeja as a way of speaking success into existence — a dream that later came true.
From his journey, Kcee believes that hard work, faith, and unwavering consistency remain powerful tools for success in the music industry.
