LAGOS REALTOR KILLED AFTER PARKING DISPUTE TURNS VIOLENT IN LEKKI ESTATE
A tragic incident has shaken the Royal Pine Estate on Orchid Road, Lekki, Lagos, after a 36-year-old realtor, Yinka Agboola, was killed during a confrontation over a parking space. This heartbreaking event occurred on Monday evening and has sparked outrage among residents and social media users.
According to reports shared by a user on X, @Ifeoluwaar, the altercation began when an unidentified driver parked his white Mercedes-Benz in the middle of the road, obstructing traffic within the estate. Residents politely asked him to move the vehicle and even offered an alternative parking spot.
Instead of cooperating, the driver allegedly became hostile, boasting, “Do you know who I am? I will kill you right now,” as he threatened a resident who challenged him.
The situation escalated quickly. Agboola, a respected resident and realtor known for promoting peace in the community, intervened to calm things down. Unfortunately, the confrontation turned violent.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver entered his vehicle and began driving aggressively, going forward and reversing as if trying to intimidate or harm those around him. CCTV footage circulating online shows the white car reversing dangerously toward a group of residents.
In an attempt to stop the suspect from fleeing, Agboola tried to restrain him. However, the driver allegedly sped forward with Agboola clinging to the steering wheel. Moments later, the suspect slammed on the brakes, violently ejecting Agboola onto the pavement and into a gutter.
The impact left the 36-year-old unconscious, and another video clip captured the moment he was knocked down as the car sped away. Witnesses say the attacker fled the scene immediately after the incident.
The community is now devastated, describing Agboola as a calm and gentle man who only stepped in to prevent further chaos. Calls are increasing for the police to identify and arrest the suspect, with many Nigerians demanding justice for the slain realtor.
