LAGOS STRENGTHENS PUBLIC SERVICE AS SANWO-OLU DISTRIBUTES VEHICLES TO DIRECTORS
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday presented official vehicles to Level 17 officers in the Lagos State Public Service, as part of efforts to enhance efficiency and overall performance across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
In a statement, the governor underscored the vital role senior directors play in driving effective governance and delivering results across government institutions.
“These directors are central to how our MDAs achieve their objectives. Providing them with the necessary support is a practical step toward improving their effectiveness,” he said.
The vehicles, allocated to senior officials overseeing key operations, are expected to ease administrative responsibilities, improve mobility, and enable quicker response to urgent matters across the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also highlighted the link between staff motivation and good governance, emphasizing that adequate resources empower public servants to take greater responsibility in their roles.
“A motivated public service is fundamental to good governance. When officials are well-equipped, they demonstrate stronger commitment, remain focused, and deliver more effectively,” he added.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen service delivery, enhance accountability, and improve performance standards across the public sector.
