LALIGA: BARCELONA BEAT ATLETICO 3–1 TO GO FOUR POINTS CLEAR OF REAL MADRID
Barcelona have moved four points clear at the top of the LaLiga table after a commanding 3–1 comeback victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night at the Nou Camp.
Hansi Flick’s side were tested early as Atletico, who came into the match on a seven-game winning streak, struck first through Alex Baena in the opening half. But the champions wasted no time responding.
Just minutes after going behind, Raphinha fired in the equaliser to restore momentum for the hosts. Barcelona continued to grow into the game and nearly took the lead, but Robert Lewandowski missed from the penalty spot.
After the break, Barca took full control. Dani Olmo put them ahead with a well-taken finish, before substitute Ferran Torres sealed the victory with a late goal, ensuring all three points stayed in Catalonia.
The win puts Barcelona four points ahead of rivals Real Madrid, who travel to face Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday night. A victory for Madrid would narrow the gap back to one point, keeping the title race tight.
