LALIGA: HANSI FLICK LOCKS BARCELONA PLAYERS IN DRESSING ROOM AFTER VALLECANO DRAW
Barcelona head coach, Hansi Flick, reportedly took a hard stance with his players following their 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
The result ended Barca’s perfect start to the season, after earlier victories against Mallorca (3-0) and Levante (3-2).
According to The Athletic, Flick locked his squad inside the dressing room immediately after the final whistle, delivering a stern message about focus and commitment.
The German tactician, who has been unimpressed with his team’s overall performances this season, is said to have repeated what he told reporters after the match — but in much stronger terms.
“The most important thing is that, when the transfer window is closed, everyone who stays is 100 per cent committed to this club,” Flick said in his post-match press conference.
“No egos, because egos kill success. Last season, we played as one unit. We have to be like this again now.”
The move has sparked debate among fans, with some praising Flick’s tough-love approach and others questioning whether the strict measure could unsettle the dressing room.
With expectations high at Camp Nou, Flick will be hoping the bold move inspires a stronger response in the coming fixtures.
