LASU OPENS 2026/2027 NELFUND LOAN APPLICATION

Lagos State University has announced the opening of the 2026/2027 student loan application under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.

The university made this known in a statement shared on its X handle on Sunday, urging eligible students to apply before the December 31, 2026 deadline.

According to LASU, the application portal opened on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and will remain open until Thursday, December 31, 2026.

The university said applicants must be duly registered LASU students with valid Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board registration numbers, National Identification Numbers and Bank Verification Numbers.

Students are also required to ensure that their matriculation numbers, departments and other institutional records are correctly uploaded and updated on the university portal.

LASU advised students to verify their JAMB details before starting their applications on the NELFUND portal.

The university said accurate verification and updated records would help prevent disqualification or delays caused by discrepancies or mismatched information.

Students experiencing difficulties with verifying or updating their records were advised to visit the Directorate of ICT or Special Interventions for assistance.

LASU urged all eligible students to complete their applications within the stipulated deadline.
