LISABI SCOOPS THREE MAJOR AWARDS AT THE AMVCA.

Femi Adebayo’s “Seven Doors” and Lateef Adedimeji’s “Lisabi: The Uprising” emerged as the biggest winners at last night’s 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) with three awards each.

“Seven Doors” took home two major awards, Best Lead Actor for Adebayo and Best Lead Actress for Chioma Chukwuka, alongside the award for Best Score/Music for Tolu Obanro.

Lisabi: The Uprising took home multiple accolades, including Best Indigenous Language (West Africa), Best Art Direction awarded to Solihull Badu Noutical and Ayanmo Yakub, and Best Make-Up, which went to Hakeem Onilogbo (Hakeem Effect).

The event not only highlighted emerging talents but also honoured industry legends, with Sani Mu’azu and Nkem Owoh receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards in recognition of their significant impact on Nollywood. 

Director Kayode Kasum received the Trailblazer Award in recognition of his bold and inventive contributions to contemporary filmmaking.
