LIVERPOOL BOSS ARNE SLOT UNFAZED BY PSV DEFEAT AMID GROWING PRESSURE
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has dismissed concerns about his job security following a heavy 4-1 Champions League loss to PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday.
The defeat extends Liverpool’s troubling run, marking nine losses in their last 12 games across all competitions. Prior to facing PSV, the Reds endured consecutive 3-0 defeats to Manchester City and Nottingham Forest, leaving the club 12th in the Premier League and 13th in the Champions League.
Despite mounting pressure, Slot insisted he is not worried about being sacked. Speaking to reporters after the game, he said:
“What I mean with that is that my focus is on other things than worrying about my own position. I try to analyze, try to help the players as much as I can.”
The Liverpool manager also addressed concerns over individual mistakes, stressing that errors are often a reflection of the team as a whole:
“It’s obvious that I don’t do it in the way I did that last season because when you talk about individual errors, I think that’s also something that comes from a team effort.”
As the season progresses, Slot faces the challenge of turning around Liverpool’s form both domestically and in Europe, while keeping the team focused amid growing scrutiny.
