Amid heavy speculation linking Trent Alexander-Arnold with a move to Real Madrid, Liverpool is reportedly considering a move for Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina as a potential replacement.

The 28-year-old full-back, who has impressed in the Premier League this season, could be available on a free transfer this summer. Reports from CaughtOffside reveal that the Reds are closely monitoring Aina’s situation.

Additionally, Aina is attracting strong interest from Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur, with reports also mentioning his link to Manchester City as a possible replacement for Kyle Walker.

Nottingham Forest is keen to retain Aina amidst growing interest and is currently in discussions to offer him a new long-term contract. The Premier League club has been in advanced talks to extend his deal, which is set to expire at the end of the current season.

Aina joined Forest from Torino in the summer of 2023 for a fee of €3.50m. This season, he has made 30 Premier League appearances, scored two goals and providing one assist, although his momentum was interrupted by an injury against Manchester United earlier this month.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
