LIVERPOOL RELEASE BIOGRAPHY HONOURING LATE JOTA

Liverpool have announced the release of Forever in Our Hearts, a biography celebrating the life, career and legacy of their late forward, Diogo Jota.

The book gives supporters a closer look at the man behind the goals, sharing memories from the family members, teammates and coaches who knew him best.

Written by Portuguese journalist José Manuel Delgado, the biography explores Jota’s journey through football and the relationships that shaped his life. The family-backed English edition includes contributions from his wife, Rute Cardoso, and his parents, alongside reflections from familiar Liverpool figures such as Jürgen Klopp, Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson.

For supporters, it offers an opportunity to remember a player whose determination and goals earned him a lasting place in their hearts.

Jota and his younger brother, André Silva, died in a car accident in Spain on July 3, 2025. Their deaths prompted tributes from across the football world, with fans, players and clubs remembering both brothers.

Liverpool subsequently retired Jota’s number 20 shirt, ensuring it remains permanently associated with him.

The biography also carries a wider purpose. Liverpool say all club profits from sales will support the LFC Foundation, funding a grassroots football programme to be established in Jota’s name.

Through that initiative, his memory will help create opportunities for others to enjoy the game he loved.

Forever in Our Hearts preserves Jota’s story through the voices of those closest to him, giving supporters a lasting way to celebrate his life and contribution to football.
