MAN IN CUSTODY OVER SUSPICIOUS DEATH OF FIANCéE IN ABUJA RESIDENCE
A 24-year-old woman, identified as Kelechi Ebubechukwu, has reportedly died under unclear circumstances at her fiancé’s residence in the Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The development was revealed on Wednesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X.
Citing police sources, Makama noted that initial findings suggested the young woman had been undergoing treatment for malaria prior to her death. Some medications believed to have been prescribed for her illness were also recovered at the scene.
According to the source, no visible signs of violence were discovered on her body.
However, the fiancé has been arrested as police investigations continue to establish the exact cause of her death.
The incident mirrors a worrying trend of women dying in the homes of their partners in recent months.
In a similar case, police in Ondo State recently apprehended 45-year-old Bankole Oginni after the mysterious death of a woman believed to be his ex-lover in his residence.
