MAN UNITED’S MISERY CONTINUES, SUFFER 3-0 DEFEAT TO BOURNEMOUTH
Manchester United suffered another damaging defeat on Sunday as Bournemouth claimed a convincing 3–0 victory at Old Trafford.
Goals from Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson extended United’s winless run to eight matches across all competitions, increasing the pressure on manager Michael Carrick.
Rayan opened the scoring in the 38th minute after being left unmarked at the far post to finish Justin Kluivert’s free-kick.
Five minutes later, Tavernier doubled Bournemouth’s lead following good work from Adrien Truffert, leaving United facing a difficult recovery at half-time.
Carrick introduced Matheus Cunha after the break, but the hosts struggled to turn possession into clear opportunities.
Bournemouth continued to threaten, with Evanilson having an effort ruled out for offside before Rayan missed a one-on-one chance.
Evanilson eventually made it 3–0 in the 71st minute, reaching a forward ball ahead of goalkeeper Senne Lammens before finishing from distance.
United captain Bruno Fernandes started on the bench following the debate over his comments about the team’s tactics after their defeat to Como.
For Bournemouth, the result delivered a valuable away win. For United, it added another setback to an increasingly difficult campaign.
