Controversial Nigerian content creator Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi Adefolarin, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, has made a U-turn on her earlier claim that she planned to sleep with 100 men within 24 hours.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, Mandy Kiss clarified that the statement was never true, explaining that it was a publicity stunt to revive her online presence and attract more engagement.

According to her, the idea was born out of frustration over her declining social media activity. She said she wanted to draw attention to her page to attract followers and potential advertisers so she could make money, not to actually carry out the controversial act.

“Me I was just joking o! Arrest ke? How much is in my account? I don’t have money for a lawyer sef. I cannot even write a statement sef. Me I was just catching cruise. I was just trying to see if I was still relevant,” she said in the video.

Mandy Kiss also appealed to Nigerians not to take her previous announcement seriously, expressing fears of legal trouble and stressing that she could never attempt such an act.

“I cannot sleep with 100 men. Please ooo, Nigerians. I don’t want to go to prison o! I cannot sleep with 100 men, I will die! Please o!!!” she added.

Her clarification has sparked fresh conversations online about the lengths to which social media personalities go to stay relevant and attract attention in Nigeria’s competitive digital space.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
