Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo has revealed that joining Manchester United was a dream come true — and that no other club ever stood a chance.

The 25-year-old forward, who completed a £71 million move to Old Trafford, admitted that once he heard United were interested, his mind was made up.

In an interview following the announcement, Mbeumo said:

“As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams – the team whose shirt I wore growing up.”

Several Premier League giants — including Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Chelsea — were reportedly keen to sign Mbeumo. But the Brentford star made it clear that United was the only club in his heart.

He also expressed excitement about working under new manager Ruben Amorim and playing alongside United’s top talents:

“I know that I have the spirit and character to reach another level here, learning from Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players.”

Mbeumo’s arrival adds firepower to United’s attacking options as the club looks to bounce back from a difficult season and challenge for major honours again.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
