Lagos, Nigeria – The 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) saw two Nollywood stars, Mercy Aigbe and Chioma Chukwuka, take home prestigious awards, celebrating their exceptional talents.

Mercy Aigbe was named Best Supporting Actress for her standout performance in Farmer’s Bride. She triumphed over fierce competitors, including Tina Mba, Omoni Oboli, Ireti Doyle, Ini Dima-Okojie, and Darasimi Nnadi-Aburo. In her emotional acceptance speech, Aigbe expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans and team, acknowledging her success as the result of hard work and dedication. This victory marks another significant achievement in her career, adding to her 2014 AMVCA win and numerous other nominations, solidifying her place as one of Nollywood’s finest.

Meanwhile, Chioma Chukwuka was honored with the Best Actress award for her remarkable role in Seven Doors, defeating contenders Uche Onuoha, Uche Montana, Uzoamaka Anlunoh, and Gbugbemi Eiete.

The 2025 AMVCAs proved to be a night to remember, celebrating the outstanding achievements of African filmmakers and actors, with Aigbe and Chukwuka’s triumphs as two of the evening’s most memorable moments.
