Last year, Mercy shared the joy of seeing her work as a filmmaker resonate with audiences. She expressed how gratifying it was that her 2023 film touched hearts and continues to inspire viewers.
Mercy made her debut in cinema production with Ada Omo Daddy, which was well received nationwide. The movie grossed ₦180.7 million, becoming the third-highest-grossing Nigerian film of the year—a remarkable achievement, especially in competition with industry heavyweights Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
Following that success, Mercy produced her second film, Thin Line, which also performed impressively at the box office, grossing over ₦100 million. She celebrated the milestone, thanking her fans for their unwavering support that helped the film thrive.
Mercy also opened up about a challenging moment during the filming of Thin Line, revealing that she once woke up on set with swollen eyes and severe pain, which required hospitalization. Despite such hurdles, she remained committed to bringing her vision to life.
