Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has etched his name in English football history, becoming the first Premier League player ever to win the PFA Player of the Year award three times.

The Egyptian superstar has now gone one better than football greats Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, and Gareth Bale, who each won the award twice.

This latest honor caps off another incredible season for Salah. The winger delivered 29 goals and 19 assists, helping Liverpool to a dominant title-winning campaign. Earlier this year, he also scooped the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award.

Salah triumphed ahead of a strong shortlist, which included his teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea sensation Cole Palmer, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal’s midfield general Declan Rice, and Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

Reflecting on the achievement, Salah said:

“I look at myself now, a guy coming from Egypt and making it to the top level, making history today, it’s something that makes me so proud.”

With this record-breaking achievement, Salah has not only solidified his legendary status at Anfield but also written a new chapter in Premier League history.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
