MULTINATIONAL LISTINGS EXPECTED TO BOOST NIGERIA’S INVESTMENT GROWTH
Market experts have said the listing of more multinational companies on Nigeria’s capital market could drive increased investment, deepen market liquidity, and strengthen investor confidence.
They noted that bringing global firms to the Nigerian Exchange would expand investment opportunities, attract both domestic and foreign capital, and enhance the overall competitiveness of the country’s financial market.
According to analysts, multinational listings could also improve market capitalisation, increase trading activity, and provide investors with access to a broader range of high-quality assets.
Stakeholders said a vibrant capital market supported by strong corporate participation is essential for mobilising long-term funds to finance business expansion, infrastructure, and economic development.
They added that maintaining regulatory transparency, improving the ease of doing business, and ensuring policy consistency will be critical to attracting more multinational companies to list in Nigeria.Experts expressed optimism that increased participation by global firms would strengthen the capital market, support private sector growth, and contribute to Nigeria’s long-term economic development.
