“MY CHILDREN ARE YOUNG, ONE DAY THEY’LL READ THIS” – PSG’S HAKIMI SPEAKS ON R@PE ALLEGATIONS
Paris Saint-Germain defender, Achraf Hakimi, has broken his silence on the r@pe allegations he has faced since 2023, stressing that the accusations are completely false and damaging to both his reputation and family.
The Moroccan international was accused by a 24-year-old woman of sexual assault at his residence in Boulogne-Billancourt last year, a case that attracted global attention and cast a shadow over his football career.
Speaking in a candid interview with Canal+, Hakimi said the allegations have been one of the most painful experiences of his life.
“I have never been subjected to such harm. For me, it was difficult and it continues to be. Because when you write lie after lie, it hurts, especially for my family,” Hakimi said.
The 25-year-old added that while his young children are not yet old enough to understand what is happening, he worries about the long-term impact of the allegations when they eventually come across the reports in the future.
“My children are still young. They don’t know the internet and they can’t read. But one day, they’re going to read this kind of thing. And for me, seeing that these lies have been written about their father is not pleasant. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone,” he added.
Hakimi, who remains a key figure for both PSG and the Moroccan national team, emphasized that the allegations have unfairly tarnished his name, but he continues to focus on his professional career and his family.
The case has since sparked wide debate about privacy, media ethics, and the balance between reporting accusations and protecting reputations when legal proceedings are ongoing.
