The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has expressed confidence that his successor will achieve even more than he has.

Speaking on Sunday during a ground reception service held in his honour by the Assemblies of God Church, Okaiuga – Nkwoegwu, Umuahia North LGA, Otti said he has laid a solid foundation for the state’s development.

He emphasized that the state is only at the beginning of its transformation, noting that the period for accelerated development has now begun. The governor also declared that the challenges that previously held Abia back have been overcome.

“We have just started. We are not yet three years old in office, so you can imagine what will be achieved by 2031,” Otti said.

He added, “There is a time and season for everything, and what we have started marks the era of aggressive development in Abia State. The good news for the people is that we have broken the curse that held us down. Whoever succeeds me will do even better. Those who think we might regress must be dreaming. We have moved forward.”
