The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced plans to adopt Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for its future Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) common entrance and other board examinations.
This was disclosed by NABTEB’s Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Muhammed Aminu Muhammed, during a monitoring visit to the TVET common entrance examination held in Uromi, Edo State. He was represented by the Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Osaigbovo Pius.
According to him, preparations are underway to establish the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the smooth implementation of CBT in subsequent exams.
“CBT is the future of examinations,” he said. “JAMB is already using it, and WAEC might adopt it by next year. Our goal is to ensure the required infrastructure is fully in place to support the transition.”
