NALDA EMPOWERS 100 OGUN WOMEN FARMERS
The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) has empowered 100 women farmers in Ogun State with agricultural inputs, training, and startup support.
The initiative was concluded on Friday as part of efforts to promote women’s participation in agriculture and enhance food production.
Beneficiaries received improved seeds, fertilisers, farming equipment, and practical training on modern farming techniques, record-keeping, and agribusiness management.
NALDA officials described the programme as a targeted intervention to boost the capacity of women, who play vital roles in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
The women farmers expressed appreciation for the support, pledging to utilise the resources to increase productivity and contribute to household and national food security.
This empowerment aligns with the Federal Government’s broader strategy to achieve food self-sufficiency and empower rural women across the country.
