Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has warmed hearts after commissioning a playground for pupils of Methodist Primary School in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The actress, who recently celebrated her birthday, chose to mark the special occasion by spending time with the children at the school. In a video shared online, Nancy revealed that the newly commissioned playground was part of her longstanding commitment to giving back to schools.

According to her, reading and playing were her favourite activities as a child, which is why she makes it a point to commission libraries or playgrounds whenever she visits schools.

“And so we commissioned another play area in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Now let the fun playtimes begin,” she said.

Nancy described commissioning libraries and play areas as her favourite part of celebrating birthdays with schoolchildren. She emphasized the importance of reducing screen time and encouraging outdoor play, creativity, and meaningful childhood experiences.

She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring joy, fun, and creativity to the pupils of Methodist Primary School, adding that the children immediately invited her to the dance floor after the event for some energetic dancing.

“I just know they’re going to create the best memories there together,” she added.

To celebrate her birthday, the actress also hosted an end-of-the-year party for the students and staff of the school. She revealed that celebrating her birthday with children has been her tradition since she turned 21, noting that it marks 13 years of consistency.

Reflecting on her birthday, Nancy shared that she recently bid farewell to Chapter 33 of her life, describing it as a transitional year filled with valuable lessons. She expressed excitement for the new chapter ahead and all it promises.

The actress has consistently marked her birthdays by giving back. In previous years, she commissioned libraries, donated educational materials, and spent quality time with children in schools, reinforcing her dedication to education and community development.
