The National Association of Nigerian Students has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu and Works Minister David Umahi following a tour of federal road projects in Cross River State and along the Benue–Cross River corridor.

The association announced a vote of confidence on Saturday after assessing construction progress and the quality of work at the sites.

NANS Senate President Ibeabuchi Onyia led the delegation, which included national officers, zonal leaders, state executives and campus representatives.

Among the projects inspected were the Iyamoyung–Ugep section of the Alesi–Ugep road, Sections 3A and 3B of the Calabar Coastal Highway, and the Adikpo–Ajio–Teshe–Ada–Kyogen–Obudu road connecting Benue and Cross River states.

Onyia said the delegation was encouraged by the standard of work observed and praised the construction teams for their discipline and technical competence.

The students’ body based its endorsement on its observations during the inspection.

The account did not provide completion dates or a detailed technical assessment of the projects.
