NAPOLI SNUB €60M GALATASARAY BID FOR OSIMHEN, HOLD OUT FOR €75M CLAUSE

Napoli have rejected an improved €60 million offer from Turkish champions Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the Italian side stand firm on their valuation.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, lit up the Turkish Super Lig with an impressive tally of 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 games across all competitions. His prolific form has made him one of the hottest names in this summer’s transfer window.

The 25-year-old Nigerian has been pushing for a permanent move away from Naples after four seasons with the Partenopei. Last summer, a proposed permanent transfer fell through dramatically on deadline day, forcing Osimhen to accept a loan switch to Galatasaray.

Having already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray on a three-year deal—plus an option for an extra year—Osimhen is eager to continue in Istanbul. However, Napoli are proving to be tough negotiators.

According to reports from Sky Sports Germany and Italy, Galatasaray returned with an improved bid of €60 million, after their initial offer of €50 million plus €5 million in bonuses was turned down. But Napoli swiftly rejected this new proposal as well, insisting they will only entertain offers matching Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, which applies to clubs outside Italy.

Saudi giants Al Hilal are also reportedly willing to trigger the clause, but are still waiting for a green light from Osimhen’s camp.

As it stands, the ball remains in Galatasaray’s court. Will they return with an offer that meets Napoli’s demands, or will another club swoop in to snap up one of Africa’s most lethal forwards?

One thing is clear: Victor Osimhen’s future is still very much up in the air, and football fans across Europe—and beyond—will be watching closely to see where the Super Eagles star lands next.
