Nigerian Breweries Plc, a subsidiary of HEINEKEN and the country’s foremost brewing company, has announced the appointment of Sarah Agha as its new Marketing Director, effective June 1, 2025.

The announcement was made in an official statement signed by the company’s Managing Director, Hans Essaadi, which was issued on Tuesday.

The company said in her new capacity, Agha will spearhead the development and execution of a robust portfolio and marketing strategy aimed at unlocking the next phase of growth for the company in alignment with its EverGreen 2030 growth agenda.

The statement read, “Her focus will be on driving a consumer-centric approach to reinvigorate the company’s dominance in the mainstream segment while advancing its leadership in premium and emerging “beyond beer” categories.

Agha brings to the role a wealth of experience and a proven track record of brand-building success. Since joining Nigerian Breweries in 2018, she has delivered strong results across a range of international premium brands, including Heineken and Desperados, as well as homegrown icons such as Legend Extra Stout, Star, and Gulder.

Over the past four years, she has served in global commercial roles within the Global Commerce Unit and the Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe region.

As AME Regional Marketing Excellence Director for HEINEKEN International, Agha has led the regional marketing agenda with a focus on building high-performing consumer portfolios and strengthening brand strategy across markets.

In that role, she has been instrumental in fostering a culture of collaboration across HEINEKEN’s operating companies and has championed a strategic shift from delivering standalone capability programmes to embedding long-term marketing capabilities that elevate executional excellence.

Prior to joining HEINEKEN, Agha held senior leadership roles across the fast-moving consumer goods and telecommunications sectors, further broadening her strategic and operational expertise.

She is widely regarded as a visionary marketing leader and a passionate advocate for brand and talent development, bringing both strategic insight and creative acumen to her new role.
