NECO RELEASES 2025 SSCE RESULTS, 60% PASS ENGLISH AND MATHS
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday in Minna, Niger State, NECO Registrar, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, revealed that 60.26% of candidates scored five credits and above, including English and Mathematics.
According to him, out of the 1,367,210 students who registered for the exams, 1,358,339 sat for the papers. This included 680,292 males and 678,047 females.
Professor Wushishi further explained that 818,492 candidates achieved the benchmark of five credits with Maths and English, while a higher figure of 1,144,496 candidates (84.26%) secured five credits and above, irrespective of the two core subjects.
The Registrar commended students, teachers, and schools for their dedication and urged stakeholders to continue supporting efforts to raise academic standards across the country.
