NEW AL-NASSR COACH JORGE JESUS: “I’M HERE TO HELP RONALDO WIN TITLES”
New Al-Nassr manager, Jorge Jesus, has made it clear that one of his biggest motivations for taking the job is to help club captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, lift trophies in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking after his official unveiling on Monday, Jesus admitted that Ronaldo’s presence was a major factor in his decision to join Al-Nassr.
“Without Cristiano Ronaldo, I certainly would not be here,” the Portuguese coach confessed. “The motivation is high. Al-Nassr needs to win titles, just like Cristiano Ronaldo, who has always won everything at the clubs he’s played for.”
Jesus, who replaced Stefano Pioli following a season that saw Al-Nassr finish third in the Saudi Pro League, said he is determined to change the club’s fortunes and bring silverware to Riyadh.
“He has not won practically anything at this club yet, so I will see if I can help him,” Jesus said. “We speak the same language, so it will be easy. We are Portuguese.”
The duo’s shared nationality could prove vital as they work together to restore Al-Nassr’s dominance and satisfy the ambitions of their star forward. Fans are hopeful that the partnership between Jesus and Ronaldo will finally deliver the long-awaited trophies the club has been chasing since Ronaldo’s arrival.
