NEYMAR IN TEARS AFTER SANTOS’ 6-0 DEFEAT TO COUTINHO’S VASCO DA GAMA

Brazilian football star Neymar Jr could not hold back his emotions after Santos suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat to Vasco da Gama in a decisive Serie A clash.

The heavy loss, led by a brilliant performance from Philippe Coutinho, is now the worst defeat of Neymar’s professional career. The result leaves Santos in serious danger of relegation, sitting on just 21 points in 15th place.

For Neymar, it was a nightmare evening. The forward failed to make an impact, left the pitch in tears, and was consoled by head coach Fernando Diniz. To make matters worse, he picked up his third yellow card of the season, which rules him out of Santos’ next crucial game against Bahia.

The defeat also had swift consequences off the pitch as Santos’ head coach, Cleber Xavier, was dismissed by the club’s board immediately after the final whistle.

Speaking after the match, Neymar admitted he was deeply embarrassed by the performance:

“I’m embarrassed. I’m totally disappointed with our performance. The fans have every right to protest… It’s an extreme shame. I had never experienced something like this in my life. Unfortunately, it happened.”

He explained that his tears were not from weakness, but from sheer frustration:

“The tears were from anger, from everything. Honestly, it was total crap — that’s the reality.”

With Santos slipping closer to the relegation zone, the pressure is mounting on Neymar and his teammates to turn things around quickly.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
