NFF INSISTS CHELLE WILL COMPLETE CONTRACT DESPITE EXTERNAL INTEREST
Sherif Inuwa Ahlan, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, has expressed confidence that Eric Chelle will complete his current deal with the Super Eagles.
Chelle, who has about nine months remaining on his contract, has attracted interest from several national teams and clubs following his impressive achievement of guiding Nigeria to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite the growing interest, Ahlan believes the Malian tactician will remain committed to his agreement with the federation, noting there is no immediate cause for concern over his future.
According to a source, the NFF leadership is satisfied that Chelle will respect the terms of his contract, making any discussion about his position unnecessary at this time.
The Super Eagles are set to return to action next month in a four-nation invitational tournament scheduled to take place in Amman, where they will face host nation Jordan and Iran as part of the competition.
