The Nigeria Food Summit (NFS) 2025 is poised to redefine the food sector and elevate its status on the global stage, according to its organizers. Led by renowned culinary expert Gbolabo Adebakin, also known as Chef Gibbs, this second edition builds upon the success of the inaugural summit held last November. The summit aims to bridge gaps in the food value chain by fostering collaboration among farmers, chefs, food tech innovators, and industry stakeholders.

In a virtual press conference in Lagos, Chef Gibbs emphasized the summit's theme, “Making Nigeria a Global Food Destination,” highlighting the need to celebrate Nigeria's rich and diverse food culture while leveraging modern agricultural technologies for industry growth.

He stated, “We have a unique and diverse food culture that deserves global recognition. Through the Nigeria Food Summit, we are creating a platform that connects every player in the food ecosystem—from farmers to culinary professionals—to drive innovation, sustainability, and economic expansion.”

Scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, the summit promises an engaging experience for all participants. It will feature expert-led discussions on vital industry topics, including food technology, business scalability, and supply chain enhancements. Attendees can also look forward to live cooking demonstrations and masterclasses led by top Nigerian chefs specializing in molecular gastronomy, showcasing innovative methods to highlight Nigerian cuisines on the global stage.

A dedicated exhibition zone will serve as a marketplace for food tech startups, agricultural suppliers, and culinary service providers. Additionally, a business clinic will offer free consultations in finance, branding, HR, legal, and tax advisory services for food entrepreneurs. The much-anticipated Pitch-a-Ton competition will provide emerging food business owners with opportunities to secure grants, mentorship, and investment to help scale their ventures.

Eunice Adeyemi, CEO of Q21 Solutions, also spoke at the press conference, expressing her excitement about the summit’s potential to transform the Nigerian food industry. She noted that the event is not just a gathering but a movement aimed at reshaping how Nigeria's food sector is perceived and engaged with on a global level.
