President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country will overcome terrorism and banditry. He made the remarks on Friday during an interfaith breaking of fast with Service Chiefs, following a recent banditry attack in Borno State.

The attack occurred in Ngoshe, Gwoza Local Government Area, where a military base and an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp were targeted, resulting in the abduction of over 100 residents.

Reacting to the incident, Tinubu said,
*"My sympathy goes to Vice President Shettima, the entire nation, and the people of Borno State over this tragic event. I have also reached out to Governor Zulum to share in their grief.

Please convey to him our love, sincere concern, and unwavering commitment to freedom, even though this period presents immense challenges.

We acknowledge the difficulties faced in combating terrorism and banditry, but I assure you, we will win this war. Nigeria will prevail."

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
