A Nigerian businesswoman, Odette Okwukwe, has gone viral after sharing the extraordinary lengths she went to to protect her marriage from a married woman she claims tried to lure her husband.

In a detailed Facebook post on Thursday, September 4, 2025, Odette narrated how her husband’s innocent act of borrowing a car battery led to a chain of events that almost cost her marriage.

According to her, the woman—an interior designer—used emotional manipulation, calling her husband late at night and claiming she was being abused at home. Odette said her husband was completely unaware of the woman’s hidden agenda and was simply trying to be sympathetic.

But Odette quickly realized what was happening and decided to “fight with psychology, not fists.”

She recounted staging several strategic moves to expose the woman. In one instance, she invited her along for a night out with friends, where she pulled a shocking stunt that left both the woman and her husband stunned.

Odette also claimed she dug into the woman’s private life, uncovering secrets that left the supposed rival shaken. The climax came when Odette set up a trap by pretending she had broken up with her husband. Believing her chance had come, the woman arranged to meet him—only to find Odette waiting quietly in the back seat of his car.

“When I leaned forward and asked, ‘What are you doing in my husband’s car?’ her spirit left her body that night,” Odette wrote. “Till today, when she sees me, she trembles. And the sweetest part? I never raised a hand. I used psychology, and I almost drove her mad.”

Her dramatic story has since stirred heated reactions online, with many praising her boldness, while others argued that no one should have to go to such lengths to secure their marriage.
