Victoria Macaulay of the D’Tigress has been named to the All-Star Team of the 2025 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

The tournament concluded in France on Tuesday, with Nigeria falling 81-73 to Germany in their final game. Under coach Rena Wakama, the team ended the competition with two victories and three defeats.

Macaulay stood out as one of Nigeria’s top performers, using her experience and strength in the paint to lead the African champions in both efficiency and scoring. The 35-year-old’s performance underlined her status as a key figure for the team.

The All-Star Team was dominated by France, who placed two players on the roster: Janelle Salaun, named Most Valuable Player (MVP), and Marine Johannes. They were joined by Germany’s Frieda Buhner and Korea’s Leesuel Kang.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
