Abuja, Nigeria, June 4, 2025 — Nile University of Nigeria successfully held its 6th Annual Career Fair, a key initiative aimed at bridging the gap between academia and the professional world by connecting final-year undergraduates and postgraduate students with top employers and industry experts across various sectors.

The event welcomed over 200 corporate exhibitors and employer-partners from industries such as Finance, Consulting, Energy, FMCG, Telecommunications, Engineering, Media, and Technology. Participating organizations set up interactive booths that allowed students to engage directly with professionals, gain insights into evolving career paths, and explore how their academic training aligns with current market needs.

Highlighting the university’s mission, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dilli Dogo, FNAMed, stated:

"At Nile University, we are committed not only to academic excellence but also to preparing our students to thrive, lead, and make meaningful contributions in today’s global workforce. The Career Fair reflects our ongoing partnership with industry to ensure our graduates are career-ready."

A major feature of the fair was a panel session featuring six distinguished human capital experts, who provided valuable insights into workplace trends, professional growth, and evolving employer expectations. Panelists included:

Mr. Kingsley Ogirri, Group Head, Human Resources, Providus Bank

Dr. Odiri Oginni, CFA, Managing Director, United Capital Asset Management

Mr. Kehinde Akintobi, Head of Talent Acquisition, Sahara Group

Mrs. Jolomi Fawehinmi, People & Culture Director, Coca-Cola HBC

Mr. Olusegun Osoneye, Senior Recruiter, McKinsey & Company

The panel addressed a range of topics, including managing generational diversity in the workplace, navigating digital transformation, improving financial literacy, and excelling in the early stages of one’s career.

The event’s success reinforces Nile University’s proactive approach to student development and its dedication to forging strategic partnerships that boost graduate employability. It also aligns with the broader vision of Honoris United Universities—Africa’s first and largest private higher education network and the parent organization of Nile University.

Through initiatives like the Career Fair, Nile University continues to empower students with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence required to make lasting impacts in their industries and communities.
