NKECHI BLESSING CLAPS BACK AT CRITICS MOCKING HER IPHONE CHOICE ON PODCAST

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has responded to critics who questioned the type of phone she used during a recent podcast appearance. A clip from the show, where she called her 6-year-old son, sparked online chatter after some users claimed she was using an “old iPhone” instead of the latest model.

In a new video shared while she was on her way to work, Nkechi described the backlash as one of the “silliest” accusations she has heard in recent times. She expressed disbelief that anyone would be bothered about the exact iPhone she held on set.

According to her, people online concluded she either used an outdated device or borrowed a newer one just for show. Nkechi laughed off the claims, saying the same critics would still find something to say even if she used the newest model in the market.

The actress clarified that she actually owns multiple iPhones — including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 — but doesn’t attach unnecessary importance to gadgets. She noted that the phone seen in the podcast was simply one of her backup devices, and she switches between phones based on convenience and storage capacity.

Nkechi also questioned why of all the topics she discussed on the podcast, the public chose to fixate on the phone in her hand.

Wrapping up her video message, she appealed for calm and positive energy as the new week and new month begin.

“Of all things in this life, na phone una carry for head? Abeg, it is well,” she said.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
