NKECHI BLESSING LAMENTS RISING ENVY, SAYS GENUINE SUPPORT IS FADING IN SOCIETY
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has expressed her frustration over what she describes as the growing lack of genuine support and the rising culture of envy in today’s society.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress noted that many people seem more focused on bringing others down rather than collaborating and working toward collective success. She pointed out that some individuals prefer unhealthy competition, even when cooperation would lead to better outcomes for everyone involved.
Highlighting the importance of mutual uplift, Nkechi stressed that supporting others comes at no cost and does not require hatred or jealousy.
“Some are collaborating and still winning, while some want to use competition to wound themselves,” she wrote.
She also criticized those who silently hope for others to fail, questioning why people hold onto bitterness in a life filled with uncertainty.
“Another set sit down for corner dey hit chest say another human being no go succeed. For this life wey nothing dey inside? For this life wey you fit sleep no wake up? Why you come hold am so strong?”
Nkechi Blessing concluded her message by encouraging a culture of mutual support, emphasizing that life becomes more fulfilling when people succeed together.
“No genuine support again, if you chop I chop, na so d life go take sweet. It costs absolutely nothing to lift the next person without hate or envy,” she added.
Her message has since sparked discussions online, with many agreeing that society needs more unity and less rivalry.
