Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has suggested that President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to the United Kingdom may be partly for medical reasons.

Speaking on The Morning Brief aired on Channels Television, Sowore argued that the trip offers little tangible benefit to Nigeria.

He noted that the President’s health could be an underlying factor behind the visit, even if not officially stated.

“These visits are nothing more than diplomatic excursions. Perhaps the President will also see his doctors; he has not travelled in about a month,” Sowore said.

Sowore further criticized the attention surrounding the trip, describing it as excessive and lacking in measurable outcomes for the country.
