NO NEW STRATEGY AGAINST TINUBU BY ATIKU, OBI, AMAECHI – NDUME

The Senator representing Borno South in the National Assembly, Ali Ndume, has stated that key figures within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, have yet to introduce a fresh strategy capable of defeating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Ndume expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain power beyond 2027. He made these remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday.

Speaking on the state of the opposition, Ndume said he remains unconcerned, noting a lack of new ideas from rival political figures. According to him, the political landscape continues to revolve around familiar names, with no clear alternative strategy emerging.

He further observed that while President Tinubu remains firmly in control, opposition groups—particularly within the ADC—appear fragmented and inconsistent in their approach.

Ndume added that although the opposition boasts notable political figures, it has struggled with unity and effective coordination. He cautioned, however, against underestimating any political contender, recalling how the People's Democratic Party (PDP) once dismissed the APC before it eventually rose to power.

While maintaining that the opposition has yet to organize itself effectively, Ndume emphasized that figures like Obi and Amaechi should not be written off entirely.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
