NUC APPROVES OPERATING LICENCE FOR NIGERIA’S FIRST AERONAUTIC UNIVERSITY
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted an operating license to the Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM), marking the establishment of Nigeria's first university dedicated solely to aeronautic studies.
This milestone follows a four-year journey culminating in the university's approval by President Bola Tinubu during a Federal Executive Council meeting on March 3, 2025.
IBUAM aims to position Nigeria as a hub for aviation education and innovation, attracting international interest with inquiries from over 88 foreign student recruitment agents.
The university's establishment is expected to contribute significantly to the development of skilled professionals in Nigeria's aviation sector.
