Sheriff Oborevwori, who also serves as coordinator of the APC presidential primary in Delta State, has urged party leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress to mobilise massively and deliver strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the party’s presidential primary scheduled for Saturday.

Oborevwori made the call on Friday during a visit to the APC founding leader in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, at his country home in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

He expressed confidence in the APC's strength in Delta State, saying the party has the capacity to deliver massive votes for the President.

According to him, the party is targeting at least 390,000 affirmation votes for Tinubu, stressing that grassroots mobilisation across the state remains strong and active.

He also referenced his own emergence as the party’s governorship candidate, saying the level of support he received at the time reflects the organisational strength of the APC in Delta State.

“You affirmed me as the sole gubernatorial candidate with over 345,000 votes. This one is for Mr. President, and he deserves more because he is the leader of the party,” he said.

Oborevwori also called for discipline, unity, and respect for party leadership, warning that internal divisions could undermine political success.

Responding, Emerhor commended the governor for what he described as purposeful leadership and efforts to strengthen the APC in Delta State since the governor joined the party.

He noted that political success depends on consultation, inclusiveness, and respect for party structures, adding that no candidate can succeed without engaging stakeholders.

Emerhor assured party leaders and stakeholders in Delta State of their commitment to work together to deliver strong support for President Tinubu in the upcoming primary election.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
