ONDO GOVERNOR NOMINATES FORMER AAUA VC, 11 OTHERS AS COMMISSIONERS

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has forwarded a list of 12 commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Ebenezer Adeniyan. In the accompanying letter, Governor Aiyedatiwa urged lawmakers to act swiftly, stating, “I shall be most obliged to the Honourable House for your expeditious action on this request in the overall interest of our dear state.”

Among the nominees is Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, an expert in Agricultural Economics and former Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic as well as Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.

Other nominees include: Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, Ayodele Akande, Alabi Johnson, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu, Mr. Idowu Ajanaku, Dr. Oluwaseun Abosede Osamaye, Dr. Tob Loko, Mr. Olaolu Akindolire, Sunday Olajide, and Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry.

Responding to his nomination, Professor Ajibefun expressed readiness to serve. In a message to our correspondent on Friday, he said, “I consider this another call to duty in the service and interest of our dear state, and so, I’m very much prepared to give it my very best, God being my strength.”
