The Ondo State Police Command has begun a full investigation into the mysterious death of Isah Ibrahim, a commercial motorcyclist whose body was discovered in a well near Ore Stadium, Odigbo Local Government Area.

Ibrahim had been missing since August 17, sparking days of search efforts by colleagues and residents of Ore. Sadly, his remains were recovered on Thursday, leaving the community in shock and grief.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson DSP Olayinka Ayanlade said Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Razaq, has ordered a thorough probe to determine the circumstances of Ibrahim’s death.

“The Command urges members of the public to remain calm. A full investigation is underway, and those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice,” DSP Ayanlade assured.

Community members revealed that Ibrahim’s Bajaj motorcycle has not been found, raising suspicions that the killing was linked to a growing trend of motorcycle snatching in Ore and surrounding towns.

A fellow rider, speaking anonymously, expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in the area:

“We suspect Isah may have fallen victim to those targeting our motorcycles. We appeal to the police and security agencies to intensify efforts because our lives and livelihoods are at serious risk.”

The Police Command has promised to follow all leads, stressing its commitment to restoring safety and confidence for residents and motorcyclists in Ondo State.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
