ONE DEAD AS AUSTRIAN TROLLEYBUS CRASHES INTO SUPERMARKET
One person has been confirmed dead and seven others injured after a trolleybus lost control and crashed into a supermarket in Salzburg, Austria, emergency officials said.
The incident occurred on Monday when the vehicle reportedly veered off the road at an intersection in a northern district of Salzburg and slammed into the store.
A spokesperson for the Red Cross confirmed that one victim died despite resuscitation efforts, while several others were rushed to the hospital, including two in serious condition.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the deceased or the exact cause of the crash, and investigations are ongoing.
Emergency services, including rescue teams and police, were deployed to the scene immediately after the accident.
